How was the malicious Minotaur created? Well, let me tell you.
It all started with a Greek God (I do not know what his/her name is) who made King Minos’s wife Pasiphë the witch fall in love with Minos’s prized bull. A few months later, the Minotaur was born! The Minotaur was half man, half bull and very vicious . Minos could not stop his step-son from escaping, so he hired Daedalus to trap it in something. Daedalus created the Labyrinth. The Minotaur was trapped in the Labyrinth and lived there.
After all the inconvenience with the beasts birth, Minos grew bored. And when he got bored, he conveyed his army to the conurbation of Athens. Every time the Cretian navy attacked, the population dropped rapidly. King Aegeus made a deal with King Minos saying that every nine years, seven Athenian boys and seven Athenian girls will go to Crete to be fed to the mighty beast. One week later, King Minos replied to King Aegeus saying yes to his despicable deal.
Nine Years Later
The election began. Six Athenian boys and seven Athenian girls waited at the Athenian Harbor, but there were not enough boys.
“I will go to kill the Minotaur.” said Prince Theseus.
“Okay, but if you succeed, change the sails from black to white.”
When they arrived, Theseus and co enter the palace.
“Welcome. As it is the day before you get eaten, I will be extremely generous and let you enjoy the Quartz Palace!”
Later that night, a note was slid under Theseus’s bedroom door. It was from King Minos’s daughter, Ariadne. It said that if Theseus met Ariadne at the entrance to the treacherous maze, she would give him some items to help him kill the Minotaur as long as he takes her away from the horrific island of Crete.
A few minutes later,Theseus arrived at Daedalus’s creation. After waiting a long two minutes, Ariadne turned up, carrying a sword and a ball of string. Ariadne said,
“Hide these in the first turn of the maze, so when you enter tomorrow, they will be there. Then tie the string to the door and hold the rest in your pocket. When you get to the centre of the maze, brutally murder the Minotaur.”Ariadne whispered.
“Okay!”Theseus quietly exclaimed as he hid the objects in the first corner if the Labyrinth.
Entering The Maze
The next day, Theseus told the children that he was going to kill the Minotaur.
“WOW,” one of them said, “THAT’S AMAZING!”
“Shh,”Theseus whispered, “Only me and Princess Ariadne should know.”
“Wow, Princess Ariadne!”another whispered.
A few minutes later, they were shoved into the Labyrinth. Theseus tied the string firmly to the start of the maze, grabbing a flaming torch and set off to find the Minotaur.
Theseus Achieves His Goal
A few moments later, Theseus hears the Minotaur roar like a car engine, so he walked towards the sound of the dreaded beast. He runs at the bull-man and sliced off his head with his pointy rapier.
When Theseus left the maze he became a hero so he sailed away to athens.
